Breaking ground
Lake Land College recently began to break ground for the Community Center
on campus. Complete with a Fitness Center as well as Ag and Technology
facilities, this addition will increase the campus' square footage by 40%.
Present at the October 18 groundbreaking were known officials such as
Senator Dale Righter, Representative Bob Flider, Representative Chapin Rose,
Representative David Reis, Heather Stone, chief of staff of the Capital Development
Board, Chuck Hartke, director of the Illinois Department of Agriculture,
Elaine Johnson, vice president for instruction and policy studies, Mike
Monaghan, executive director of the Illinois Community College Trustees Association,
Mike Sullivan, chair of the LLC Board of Trustees, and President Bill
Thallemer of LLC.…
